The project “Protecting Working Conditions in the Platform Economy: Moldovan-Lithuanian Social Dialogue” (JWCPW) was prominently showcased at the 17th edition of the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation (EUROINVENT), held from 8–10 May 2025 at the Palace of Culture in Iași, Romania. EUROINVENT 2025 brought together over 600 innovative projects from across Europe and beyond, serving as a premier platform for researchers, inventors, and institutions to present pioneering solutions to contemporary challenges (https://www.euroinvent.org/Report_Euroinvent_2025.pdf ).
The JWCPW project, coordinated by Professor Tomas Davulis of Vilnius University, was developed in collaboration with esteemed partners including the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, the National Employment Agency of the Republic of Moldova, and the Tax Disputes Commission under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania (jwcpw.eu).
The project’s primary objective is to enhance the working conditions and social protections of platform workers by establishing effective social dialogue mechanisms between Moldova an Lithuania (jwcpw.eu).
At EUROINVENT 2025, the JWCPW team presented their research findings and policy recommendations through a comprehensive poster. The project’s innovative approach to addressing the challenges faced by platform workers garnered significant attention from the international jury. In recognition of its impactful contributions, the JWCPW project was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal, underscoring its excellence in research and innovation.
Participation in EUROINVENT 2025 not only elevated the project’s visibility on an international stage but also facilitated the establishment of strategic partnerships for future collaborations. The recognition received serves as a testament to the project’s commitment to fostering equitable and sustainable working conditions in the rapidly evolving platform economy.
