The Moldovan Team of the JWCPW Project participates in the National Forum on theLabor Market and Social Dialogue

On May 6, 2025, the Moldovan team from the project “Protecting working conditions in the platform economy: Moldovan-Lithuanian social dialogue” (JWCPW) ), actively participated in the National Forum on the Labor Market and Social Dialogue, which took place in
Chișinău. Organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in partnership with Expert-Grup and the Soros Foundation Moldova, the event addressed critical issues and opportunities within Moldova’s labor market.

Daniela Vidaicu, the executive director of the Soros Foundation Moldova, emphasized in her opening remarks the importance of a functional and fair labor market as a cornerstone of Moldova’s European integration process. The forum brought together experts, policymakers, and civil society representatives to discuss pressing topics such as labor shortages, informal employment, and strengthening social dialogue.

Raisa Dogaru, a JWCPW team member and director of the National Employment Agency (NEA), contributed to panel two, which focused on enhancing labor market participation through active employment policies and improvement proposals. She provided insights into
the current labor market situation and offered specific recommendations for reforming employment policies and strategies within the digital economy.

The team’s active participation in the forum helped strengthen relationships with institutional partners and generated opportunities for new strategic collaborations. The event was a significant opportunity to promote and disseminate the results of the JWCPW project, contributing to the national dialogue on employment policies and sustainable socio-economic development in Moldova.
